What's new in Paced Breathing 2.0?

Paced Breathing 2.0 for Android is here!  We've made a lot of improvements to the free version, including:
  • Improved UI
  • Profile backup (when you replace your phone and reinstall Paced Breathing, your profiles and purchases will be restored automatically)
  • Clock feature (see how long a session has been ongoing)
  • Breathes Per Minute feature (BPM) (see how many breathes you take per minute with your current breathing times)
  • New Male Sound (Breathe in! Breathe out!)
  • Auto Profile saving
  • Easier Switching between profiles
  • Sound, vibrate, and screen awake settings are now saved per profile
  • Improved handling of changing breathing times mid-session
  • Tons of bug fixes
(Note: this article was written for the Paced Breathing Android app. There is an iOS version of the app with it's own iOS tutorial)

In the menu you'll also find an "Upgrade..." option.  There you will find the option to go ad-free.  You can also upgrade to our Pro Package.  With this package you will get these features:
  • Bonus Sound
  • Alternate Color Theme
  • Unlimited profiles (free is limited to 2)
If you are permission conscious or want the smallest app possible, you can instead switch to the Paced Breathing Pro app.  This version will never have ads, never require additional permissions, never get bloated, and will always have all of our features*.

* = Profile backup couldn't be added to the pro app because it would require internet permissions

  2. Is this stil in development? I would like to see a scheduler in this app, reminding to do these exercises. I also have an ANT+ heart rate measure device, would be nice to see how this breathing influences one's HR

    1. Hi David! I was pretty busy with a startup prior so PB didn't get much attention, but I'm back at a day job now and will have some free time once I get ramped up at work. My eta is to put out an update before August. HR integration is definitely a great idea as are reminders!

  3. Wish voice could also say "hold". This would allow us to hear and follow instead of watching the screen when to hold

  4. Hey you guys should include a bell or tibetan bell as the tone... Or even be able to customise the tone to whatever people wanted

  7. I would like to be able to set it by breaths per minute. I recently learned a little about cardiac convergence and am shooting for 6 breaths per minute. I finally got it to that point on a special profile but it was very fiddley. Now I need to tinker a bit still to find the most comfortable settings, but I'd love to just say start me at 8 or 10 breaths per minute and ramp to my precise target. I've had this ap for years and never even thought about switching or Uninstalling
